About Me
Dr. Andrea L. Larmon, PhD, BCBA
I’m Here to Help.
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and School Psychologist.
I specialize in School and Home Based Behavioral Therapy and Coaching, Psychoeducational Testing, Inclusionary Practices, and Program Evaluation.
My Background
I have 34 years of public school experience, 26 in the United States and 8 in the United Kingdom. I have worked as a paraprofessional, school psychologist, general education teacher, special education teacher, Autism Specialist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Director of Special Education Services.
I have been an Adjunct Professor at UMASS Amherst since 2015. I have presented at various conferences, and have delivered numerous professional development sessions for school-based personnel on behavior management, program evaluation, inclusionary practices, and effective and efficient IEP writing.
My Approach & Philosophy
One of the primary motivations behind my decision to pursue a career in education was the opportunity to collaborate with future generations of learners and educators in an instructional capacity. Throughout my professional journey as an educator, administrator, and consultant, my approach to education has evolved from a focus on my teaching to a more comprehensive emphasis on the learning experiences of students, families, and staff. As a lifelong learner myself, I am committed to fostering that passion in others.
Teaching with clarity, passion, empathy, and sincere enthusiasm has a profound impact on learners, ultimately guiding them to realize their full potential. Providing clients with content and instruction in the application of evidence-based, therapeutic interventions that can be effectively utilized with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including schools, homes, families, and workplaces, and ensuring their continued success is the ultimate objective.
The primary objective of this company is to assist clients in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling them to navigate and address challenges with greater confidence and competence.

To know Andrea is to quickly see how truly passionate and dedicated she is to her work. She is thoughtful and compassionate by nature, and her genuine care for her clients’ growth creates lasting impact that sets her apart.
It’s clear she is deeply valued in her community for all the right reasons. Getting to work with her is a privilege and I would recommend her without hesitation.
It is a privilege to provide this testimonial for Andrea Larmon, a professional I have known and collaborated with for over 18 years and in multiple school districts. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Massachusetts Licensed Educator, and Licensed School Psychologist, Andrea possesses a rare and powerful combination of clinical expertise and educational insight.
What makes Andrea’s approach truly distinctive is her foundation as an educator. By overlaying the sophisticated skills of a behavior analyst and psychologist onto her experience in the classroom, she brings a practical understanding of educational settings. She recognizes that schools are far more dynamic and less controllable than clinical environments, and her work reflects that reality.
Andrea takes a deeply logical approach to complex behavioral challenges, but that logic is always perfectly balanced with empathy. Her evidence-based assessments and guidance have consistently helped students with significant needs make exceptional progress. Her plans are focused on achievability—they are firm and effective, yet always deeply respectful of the individual. Whenever possible, she ensures the individuals themselves are involved in the process, honoring their voice and agency.
One of Andrea’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people. She sets a tone of comfort that allows her to form positive, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents alike.
For parents, she communicates with a clarity that calms the nerves of those facing challenging situations, particularly regarding social-emotional disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder. She translates complex analysis into language that makes sense, leaving parents feeling confident and equipped with a solid, actionable plan.
For staff, Andrea has a unique capacity for programmatic guidance and coaching. When providing support to specialized programs, she presents her advice in a way that leaves staff feeling empowered. Rather than feeling they “need to change,” they feel respected and that their existing skills have been built upon.
I have frequently sought Andrea’s guidance on everything from individual behavior plans to overall programmatic strategy. Her advice is consistently effective, her training is rigorous, and her results speak for themselves. I cannot recommend her highly enough to any organization or family seeking a professional who leads with both science and heart.
